Police Crack Down on Parking Issues Outside Lutley Primary School
Police in Dudley have been tackling parking issues outside’ Lutley Primary School’, responding to concerns from parents and carers about unsafe and inconsiderate parking. Officers conducted targeted patrols in the area to ensure the safety of children, parents, and other road users. Similar patrols were also carried out on Shenstone Valley Road and Grower Road as part of efforts to improve road safety across the borough.

Alongside the parking crackdown, speed watches were held in Halesowen’s Hayley Green area, following complaints from residents about dangerous driving. Meanwhile, Brierley Hill officers seized a stolen vehicle while on patrol, with the car now set for forensic examination.
Police have also been engaging with the community in other ways. At Merry Hill Shopping Centre, officers offered free crime prevention advice, while in Cradley, locals joined officers for a ‘Cuppa with a Copper’ event to discuss local concerns. Dudley North officers ran a drop-in surgery at Sedgley Library, and in Dudley Town, Junior PCSO sessions were held at Foxyards Primary School to educate children about policing and community safety.
These efforts are part of a wider push by West Midlands Police to respond directly to community concerns, with a focus on road safety, vehicle crime, and public engagement.
